Toronto’s Ashton Mills Releases Single, “The Bottom,” With Accompanying Music Video

Ahead of a debut album releasing later this fall, Toronto’s Ashton Mills has just released his latest single, “The Bottom,” along with a new visual. The song is written, produced and engineered by Mills himself, and he also directed and edited the accompanying music video.

Hailing from downtown Toronto, Mills has been working behind the scenes of Canada’s music industry for years—lending his diverse array of talents to shape the sounds and careers of such artists as Jazz Cartier, Amir Obé, Eli Sostre and Sean Leon. Now Ashton is poised to step into the spotlight himself with his debut project, YOU WATCHED ME LOSE MY MIND.

While producing for and touring with JUNO-award winning artist Jazz Cartier as his live guitarist and keyboardist, Ashton shaped his own distinct sound—lush, complex productions combined with emotive lyricism and vocals—to offer his own fresh take on the brooding R&B that Toronto has pioneered over the past decade.

“The Bottom” is out now on all streaming platforms, and YOU WATCHED ME LOSE MY MIND will be released later in November.
