Gianni DeCenzo On The Upcoming Season Of “Cobra Kai,” His Hobbies, Future Plans & More

A continuation of the Karate Kid film series, Cobra Kai has been one of the most popular streaming-based reboots over the last few years. A true favorite in the Paltrowitz household, my wife and I watched Cobra Kai when it originally premiered as a YouTube Original, then rewatched it again recently since the series moved to Netflix. Season 3 is set to premiere on January 8, 2021.

One of the polarizing characters on Cobra Kai has proven to be Demetri, as portrayed by actor Gianni DeCenzo. A mainstay of all 3 seasons of Cobra Kai, loyal viewers of the showed have watched Demetri evolved from being a neurotic high school kid to a courageous, well-intentioned — but still quirky and funny — teen. DeCenzo was working as an actor before his teen years, with his IMDb page showing a credit as early as 2011; his professional credits also include multiple appearances in episodes of the Disney Channel’s Coop & Cami Ask The World and Nickelodeon’s 100 Things To Do Before High School.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Gianni DeCenzo on December 23, 2020 via Zoom, as embedded below. More on DeCenzo and his various projects can be found online at www.instagram.com/gianni_decenzo, www.twitter.com/giannidecenzo and www.giannidecenzo.com, while additional information on Cobra Kai is available via www.facebook.com/CobraKaiSeries and www.netflix.com/cobrakai.
