Marcus McFly Saves 2020 with An Earth Odyssey
Hailing from the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide, Marcus McFly began his journey with music in 2004 at the age of 10 writing rhymes over instrumentals.
Mainly being influenced by Eminem & the Notorious B.I.G. while growing up, Marcus got a taste for story telling and deep lyrics, learning early on that the realest Hip-Hop comes from the heart.
McFly has supported both local and international artists, including Busdriver, Louis Logic, Ceschi, Reason, Briggs, Anecdote and Delta, just to name a few.
McFly helped establish the Creative Kingdom, a collective of artists ranging from producers to painters that stand for one thing: Positivity. McFly is currently working on his debut EP. Set to release in 2021.
“2020 has been a year many of us will never forget – the year Planet Earth went into lockdown.
While I was stuck inside, I couldn’t help but look outwards to see what was going on around the globe.
This song is about what I saw, I heard and I felt.
It’s about the things that give us comfort when the situation seems hopeless, the politicians who say one thing yet do another and most importantly – all of us coming together to make it through these perilous times.
2020 is the year everything changed but it’s too late to go back now.
This is our odyssey.”
