In a partnership with Chick-fil-A and The Shade Room, Amplify Africa launched a $5,000 short video contest from February 1st through March 5th to amplify the voices in Africa and the diaspora. The Amplify Africa Video Contest is a way to celebrate and recognize the unique qualities and similarities that exist between African Americans, Afro-Caribbean’s, Africans on the continent, and those who make up the international Black collective. With more than half of the population in many African nations under the age of 25, the continent is currently undergoing a renaissance of vibrant new music, fashion, art, and political expression. Amplify Africa captures the spirit of this unprecedented boom in youth culture off the continent, by focusing on emerging and progressing trends while blending traditional aesthetics with a futurist lifestyle. Since its inception, Amplify Africa’s events arm has been able to develop unique activations for the Pan-African community to come together in spaces of cultural exchange, education, and entertainment in ways that appeal to Africans and non-Africans alike. Amplify Africa events include Afrolituation, Afro Music Festival, Afro Ball and Made in Africa.

Damilare Kujembola is a Los Angeles-based lawyer and business consultant from Lagos, Nigeria with experience in the entertainment and media industry. Under his leadership, Amplify Africa has grown with a digital audience of over 100,000+ millennials across the US, United Kingdom, and Brazil and has produced over 100 events including the Afro Ball, an annual awards ceremony and gala which includes a Certificate of Recognition from the U.S. Congress to Africans excelling in the diaspora.

Timi Adeyeba Timi Adeyeba is a Los Angeles-based entertainment lawyer, business consultant, and entrepreneur. Timi studied entertainment and music business at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and is the founder and principal partner of Tim A Legal Consultants, an entertainment law consulting firm that represents talents in the creative industry. His experience of over 10 years in the music and movie industry has given him the opportunity to work with several top entertainers and businesses in the industry such as Niniola, Dbanj, Mr Vegas, Tope Alake, Sarz, Kiss Daniel, MasterKraft, GWorldWide Ent, etc.
