Tune into Amazon Music’s “History in the Making” Twitch Series Today + Listen to Adrian Younge’s “Invisible Blackness” Podcast

Today, Amazon Music will premiere “History in the Making,” a new panel-style series from Rotation, featuring artists who have changed the scope of music by redefining the sound, look, and feel of Black artistry, and their supporters who are also making Black history of their own. For the premiere event today at 2pm PT, host Wayno will interview multi-talented artist and musician, Masego and Henny Yegezu, founder of label and management company EQT.

“Storytelling is one of the most important parts of history, and in this new series with Amazon Music, I will share the backstories behind the success of some of the most influential and important Black artists who have redefined the culture and our history,” said Wayno.

Tune into the Amazon Music Twitch channel at 2pm PT each Friday through the end of the month for more episodes of “History in the Making.”

Fans can now listen to the first episode of “Invisible Blackness with Adrian Younge.” Hosted by revered producer Adrian Younge, this four-part, Amazon Music exclusive series analyzes the Black consciousness of America with new historical parallels to the future and the past. A companion podcast, his new album and short film, The American Negro, fans can listen to the first episode “Predetermined Prejudice,” which breaks down the roots of institutionalized racism in America.

Amazon Music listeners can also find an expansive collection of playlists for Black History Month like the “The New Black” playlist that shines a light on emerging Black talent and creativity; a new collection of “[RE]DISCOVER” playlists that feature music from influential Black artists; and “PRSM,” a brand-new playlist highlighting genre-bending, expectation-defying Black artists. In addition, Amazon Music debutedthe season finale of Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Albums Podcast with an episode on the legacy of Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On,” featuring insights on the album from luminaries like Spike Lee, Aaron Neville, Smokey Robinson, Nelson George, and more. Customers can also listen to a new Amazon Original cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” by Wyclef Jean, with more coming, including a cover from Mickey Guyton, and a re-imagined track from rising hip-hop star Blxst’s last project “No Love Lost”.
