Radiofix’s “Beauty Queen” Gets Her Day In The Sun

Phoenix trio Radiofix describes “Beauty Queen” as “a guitar rock song about people out there, we all know, who get lost in their vanity.” The visuals open with pinup girls of yesteryear and segues into the band punching us in the mouth with booming vocals and some killer rhythm guitar.

The song and visual’s nameless muse is likened to the sunshine: we’re all waiting for it; we need it to feel good and sometimes worship it, but should never “look into her eyes.” The sun always goes away to leave us in the cold, just like a “Beauty Queen”. The guitar towards the end of the song really rips and the band adds a nice nod to self-love by becoming their own Beauty Queens towards the tail-end of the visual.
“Beauty Queen” is a single/music video release off Radiofix’s latest album “Meet Me At The End”. If you’ve yet to get hip, now is absolutely the time. Daniel Martin and company will quench your thirst for Rock and Roll’s genuine article which is what all of us need after a long day in the sun.
