Paige Howard On The New Film “Hollywood.Con,” Upcoming Projects, “Arrested Development,” “The Astronauts,” Music & More

Mika Boorem (Riding In Cars With Boys, Blue Crush, Hearts In Atlantis) first found success in Hollywood as a child actor. Having since transitioned into writing, producing and directing, Hollywood.Con marks her feature directorial debut, and it is now available for viewing via Amazon Prime. A fun-packed adventure-comedy in the tradition of Romancing The Stone and Jewel Of The Nile, Hollywood.Con tells the story of an aspiring actor (played by Boorem) who accidentally steals the identity of a big time producer (played by Paige Howard) and is then hurled into Hollywood’s next big Mayan feature film.

Without giving too much away, Hollywood.Con also features the likes of Tom Arnold, Devin Ratray, Cody Kasch, Brian Krause, Brittany Underwood, Preston Acuff, Marco De Nino, Christopher T. Wood, Herbert Russell, Jackie Pucc, and Saheed Rahmani. The film itself was co-written by Boorem and writer/producer Benjamin Boorem. Its trailer is embedded below for your viewing pleasure.

The aforementioned Paige Howard is an alumnus of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. She made her professional stage debut at the Vineyard Theatre in New York, playing the title character in J.M. Barrie’s play Mary Rose, as directed by Tina Landau. After guest-starring roles on TV shows Medium and 90210, Howard made her feature film debut as Sue O’Malley in the 2009 comedy Adventureland. She won a “Best Supporting Actress” nod at the Los Angeles Movie Awards for her work in The Employer and has worked steadily since then. Beyond other projects shown on her IMDb page, Howard has been doing voice-work on the Nickelodeon series The Astronauts as of late.

On June 4, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Paige Howard via Zoom, as embedded below. More on Howard and/or Hollywood.Con can be found here, here, here and here.
