Tyrus On Life Post-WWE, Finding Success With Fox News, Working With Greg Gutfeld, His Upcoming Book, Career Goals & Much More
George “Tyrus” Murdoch is a regular contributor to Fox News. He joined the network in 2016, regularly contributing to the FNC’s Gutfeld! — reportedly the highest-rated late night program on television these days — and hosting Un-PC; the channel’s official 25-year anniversary will be October 7, 2021. Yet those are far from Tyrus’ only professional accolades over the last 15 years.
Tyrus first made his mark internationally within the world of professional wrestling, first signing with WWE in 2006. He made his way onto WWE television a few years later, ultimately being part of multiple WrestleManias before parting ways with the company in 2014. Within months of leaving WWE, Tyrus debuted within IMPACT Wrestling where he stuck around until 2018. Tyrus has since popped up in the National Wrestling Alliance — as owned by The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan — where he is currently the holder of the prestigious NWA World Television Championship title.
While signed with WWE, Tyrus appeared in multiple films. He has further stepped up his acting game in recent years, appearing in episodes of GLOW, Preacher, Love and Syn. Acting and wrestling aside, Tyrus is the author of the forthcoming memoir Just Tyrus: A Memoir, as due out December 14, 2021.
