Jason Cropper On The Early Days Of Weezer, Current Projects, Mental Health During COVID-19, Magnesium, Van Halen & More

As a founding member of the band Weezer, Jason Cropper notably co-wrote the album-opening song “My Name Is Jonas.” A few years after exiting Weezer, Cropper played in 22 Jacks and fronted the Restless Records-signed band Chopper One. Cropper would later co-write the theme song to the sitcom Andy Richter Controls The Universe, co-found the band Fliptop, and begin producing other artists.
In recent years, Jason Cropper has embarked in a variety of successful projects both in and out of the musical space. He founded Studio C Recording & Production in 2017. He has facilitated a peer to peer cognitive behavior therapy app called Cheese Burger Talk. He has also worked with the Center For Magnesium Education & Research hto help create better health outcomes based on non-oral magnesium nutrition and topical products. All the while, 2020 brought new music from Cropper via his solo debut single “Goodness Knows” and the Weezer B-Side he co-wrote titled “I’ve Thrown It All Away.”
