Julius “JB” Brownlee’s unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a music filled household meant JB was always surrounded by different forms of music. His mother was a soloist in the church choir, she exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, all in which influenced this development.
Now a seasoned vet with honed skill, JB recently released his debut single “That’s Who You Are,” produced by Kevin “Church” Johnson and Dominque Sanders. This record is and ode to the character of a woman. Simply reminding them that beauty fades, but a woman who reveres God is worthy of praise. The single will be followed up with a full project entitled “Jus Joyous.” All the songs on this project provide a divine connection between music and lyrics. “I want my music to flow to the listener’s soul. I want it to express what cannot easily be expressed, soothe the mind and comfort the heart.
