Flo Milli Named MTV Global PUSH Artist for November

MTV PUSH has named viral sensation Flo Milli as the featured Global PUSH Artist for the month of November. Flo Milli has been hustling since High School where she would record melodies in the bathroom and even perform for the upperclassmen. After initially gaining popularity on SoundCloud in 2020, the bubbly rapper has hit milestones in her early career such as being nominated for Best Breakthrough Song at the VMAs for her feature on Baby Tate’s “I Am.” and over 4 million videos using her tunes on TikTok. Flo Milli joins MTV Push to discuss how haters inspired her first viral hit, naming her first project, embracing her versatility, and more.

Interview Highlights

On appreciating the early stages of her career:

  • “Now’s the time to really take it all in, I really feel like there’s certain stages in an artist’s career that they just won’t get back. This is an accomplishment and milestone for me because this is something I’ve been talking about and speaking into existence.”

On the name, “You Still Here Ho?”:

  • “A lot of the things people were saying were ‘her voice is annoying, she has the same flow’ just all types of things and it’s just like, you’re still here? It was the perfect title to say you’re saying this, you’re staying that but you are still here, getting every bit of entertainment.”

On never giving up on your dreams:

  • “It can get so hard, and don’t let negative thoughts or comments stop you. No matter if it was an adult, your brother, your grandma, or your cousin, don’t listen to them. If you feel it passionately in your heart, then go for it.”
