Song Writer Gabriel Black Featured In Euphoria And In MGK’s Recent Film Released Diagnosed With Rare Deadly Cancer

Music on the sadder side can often tell the story of love loss, loss of loved ones, depression, drug and alcohol dependency issues and sometimes these are rooted more in telling a vision of the story or the story of those around the writer. Depression and darkness is of Course a common theme in music because listeners can relate. But rarely do we get to dive deeply into the story of an artist who was in the middle of their career rising only to be struck with cancer. And in this case, a rare cancer with a survival rate of just 15%. But that’s the news artist Gabriel Black got on the helm of the holiday season. Not exactly the gift anyone wants to get for Christmas.

You may or may not have heard of Gabriel Black but if you haven’t heard of his song “Dead Yet” (ironically) featured alongside Phem (a past love interest) in the HBO series Euphoria or his song “Batman” with producer Bighead in Good Mourning starring MGK, Pete Davidson, Megan Fox, Becky G and Mod Sun then you’ve heard of some of his biggest musical supporters including the likes of Machine Gun Kelly himself, Oliver Tree, Gashi or top music curators such as Allison Hagendorf (formally of Spotfy) and Kev Kenny of KROQ, MTV and Billboard. Across the board this BMG published artist has made his stamp, but at 27 years old this can be considered a curse that no one deserves. Gabriel Black has tried to make the best of it, flipping the darkness into an album ironically titled “Cancer For Christmas” which according to Gabriel Black may be his last album ever.

He has compiled the last of his music he’s been working on which he says by pure coincidence seems to be relatable to the story of what he’s going through but at the same time can apply to almost any struggle any one of his fans are going through as well. Gabe is hoping for the full support of all of his label, management and publishing partners to make what could be his last album memorable. He has beefed up additional management with Bighead Music Group via Alex Loyalty who has been a long time collaborator, consultant and friend to Gabe. Gabe has told us that he has been getting a lot of support from fellow creative’s on the album who all want to be a part of this project. He says there will be some very surprising features on the project that many may not have expected.

Gabe has an intensive chemo program going on a 9 month stretch of intense inpatient and outpatient chemo leaving himself and fans wondering how he will make music throughout the journey but he says he is working on it, however not to worry because the darkly titled album “Cancer For Christmas” is already finished minus awaiting a few more features. Memorable Vinyl’s are expected. Stories like Gabriel Black’s remind you that anyone can be going through anything and to appreciate what we have especially during this holiday season.
