Charizard Speaks On Music, Career Change & More

Born and raised in New York City, Charizard experienced the city’s underground scene at a young age, by attending different parties and several concerts. Today, he lives in Los Angeles as an artist and works as an executive producer at Bighead Music Group, alongside co-founder Alex Loyalty. “I’ve always been serious about music and have always put it on a pedestal,” he says. “Music is really that real, it’s raw human emotion manifesting as true art, art that shapes the world with rhythm, with ideas, with culture, with understanding.”

Not only is Charizard a producer on the rise, but he is also an artist, having recently released his mixtape titled Trashzard VV1. One of the songs he and Alex co-produced together is the Kodak Black-assisted track “Swap for a Swap”, by Swifty Blue & Bighead, which peaked at No. 7 on the iTunes chart. When it comes to genres, the young producer mainly listens to SoundCloud / Mumble Rap, Hyperpop, NYC Drill and Classical. As for musical influences, Charizard has a few in mind. “Lil Uzi Vert is and forever will be my favorite artist and my hero,” he says. He’s also very inspired and moved by artists such as Pop Smoke, Anonio Vivaldi, Fivio Foreign, Kodak Black, 6 Dogs, Bladee, Daddex, Sebii and Yeat.

Next up for the artist/producer, he’s gearing up to release more music and will introduce listeners to a new sound.” Let’s just say it’s a sound that’s never been heard in America before. We shaking America and LA in March, then we shaking Thailand in April.”
