0The Opening Act For Rich Homie Quan – “Waylon Big Bond” Promises to Shake up The Rap Industry in 2023
Whether he is busy releasing a hit single or performing LIVE, “Waylon Big Bond” always captivates his audience. His vocal dynamism and on stage charisma have made him such a fan favorite. He always leaves a lasting impression on anyone who is fortunate enough to hear him perform. Waylon’s innate ability to entertain his listeners has even resulted in him being invited to perform LIVE at major concerts alongside some of the biggest rappers around. Just last year in July, Waylon Big Bond received the coveted opportunity to perform in front of thousands at the 2022 New Braunfels concert. The concert was to be headlined by none other than Rich Homie Quan who is arguably one of the most entertaining rappers of his generation. However, before being on the radar of big names like Rich Homie Quan, Waylon Big Bond had to overcome his fair share of adversity.
Perhaps one of the biggest challenges that Waylon Big Bond faced during his come up as a rapper was the fact that he is white. It’s common knowledge that colorism exists in the world of music and in some cases it can affect the way an artist is perceived. Early on in his career, John Taylor Gamble, best known as “Waylon Big Bond” believes he was on the receiving end of colorism related treatment. The Dj at a venue he was performing cut his track midway and cited his appearance as the reason for doing so. This seemingly unfair treatment only further fueled Waylon’s desire to become a star so he could prove his doubters wrong, especially the Dj who had cut him off. As it so happens, Waylon would have his chance to prove that Dj wrong in the not too distant future. As time passed by, a number of Waylon’s tracks and performances started gaining traction. In a fortuitous twist of events, the venue where he had been cut off decided to invite him back to perform. Ironically, he got a chance to perform a track he had made about the Dj who had previously cut him off and he got to perform it right in front of that Dj. Beyond just retribution, this was a defining moment in the career of Waylon Big Bond. He has never doubted his talent ever since!
Waylon’s journey has been quite a ride and things promise to only get better for the star in 2023.
