Bad Domination Entertainment CEO Reggie Westmoreland is Helping Independent Artists

Bad Domination Entertainment, also known as B.D.E., is CEO Reggie Westmoreland’s idea of support brought to life. The entertainment company is one of the leading Northern Californian brands helping establish new artists in the industry. “I wanted to get into music to support artists in sustainable ways,” Westmoreland says. “I’ve seen far too many talented artists get trapped in the Bay and never make their way out of the west coast.”

The CEO believes that as an independent artist “it’s like you have a for sale sign on your head,” but with the support of major labels behind them, B.D.E. is able to accomplish anything in the upcoming year. With time and patience, Westmoreland aims to teach young artists how to simultaneously handle business and level up in the industry. Though there is a lot of competition in the industry, some having big machines behind them, Reggie assures B.D.E. makes sure that artists safely bypass any bridges and obstacles preventing them from receiving major recognition from these labels.

The entrepreneur takes pride in the accomplishments achieved by B.D.E. thus far such as records independently going gold, soon-to-be platinum, with his artist, Haiti Babii. Haiti Babii is the company’s first-known artist coming out of North California. Starting from nothing, B.D.E. has already had an artist take part in a world tour. Reggie says he’s beyond proud of where Haiti Babii stands, given the fact that he’s already received a gold and platinum plaque independently, which is rare.

The future of Bad Domination Entertainment is envisioned as being closely partnered with major label records, and overseeing the development of multiple artists. As Reggie puts it, he wants to pave the way for upcoming talent coming out of Northern California and make sure they have a safe space to create music. “I want to create something bigger than just a record label. I envision B.D.E. as more than just a label.”
