Legends of The Seven Golden Vampires Unleash Funkadelic Nostalgia with New Single ‘Close To You’
Legends of The Seven Golden Vampires (LOTSGV), the dynamic duo of producer/multi-instrumentalist Nicholas Foster and DJ Luke Hadron, proudly announce the release of their second single, “Close To You,” via Prank Monkey Records’ new subsidiary, Johnny Fortune Records.
“Close To You” is the highly anticipated follow-up to their viral debut, “Autumn Fall,” which has garnered over 7 million streams on TikTok, earned a spot on Fresh On The Net’s Fresh Faves, and enjoyed airplay on BBC 6 Music, Radio X, and the BBC Introducing mixtape.
The new track transports listeners on a funkadelic journey to the vibrant 70’s, infused with the energy of the late 90’s French House scene. The single’s cover, designed by the talented Gareth Halliday, who crafted the artwork for Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds’ “Who Built The Moon?” LP, further enhances the nostalgic atmosphere.
LOTSGV, named after the cult classic ’70s Hammer / Shaw Brothers film featuring Peter Cushing, was born out of Nicholas Foster’s desire to revisit his mash-up roots while awaiting the debut LP from his other band, the psych/shoegaze-inspired Ghosts of Torrez. Partnering with friend and DJ Luke Hadron, LOTSGV was formed to create an eclectic mix of psychedelic funk, northern soul, and extreme metal, aiming to bring people to the dance floor and keep them there.
With influences ranging from The Go! Team, Air, and BRA to the sonic plundering of their youth, LOTSGV’s “Close To You” is set to become the soundtrack for music lovers seeking a nostalgic, groovy experience.
In support of the new release, LOTSGV plans to embark on a DJ tour this summer. Fans should keep an eye out for live announcements, as the duo is eager to bring their electrifying energy to stages across the country.
