NCAA Women’s Basketball Champion Jasmine Carson Announces WNBA Draft Decision at Private Dinner and Victory Tour in Dallas

On April 6, 2023, LSU Tigers Women’s Basketball Champion, Jasmine Carson, made her triumphant visit to Dallas to make a series of media appearances and host a private Victory Dinner. Hosted at the popular black-owned restaurant, True Kitchen + Kocktails Dallas, the event celebrated the young professional basketball player’s NCAA championship win, along with Carson’s emergence into the spotlight as a viral star.

The sponsored event catered to an exclusive guestlist of sports enthusiasts, entertainment executives, political figures, media, and cultural influencers. Curated by creative services agency, Professionally You, the hosted dinner was sponsored by Sports World x For The Culture, and swerveluxe, a leading luxury vehicle rental and chauffeur service.

During the Victory Dinner, Carson announced her entrance into the 2023 WNBA Draft presented by State Farm®, which took place on April 10. “We are thrilled to have Jasmine back in Dallas and are excited to hear her declaration for the WNBA Draft,” said Derrick Walker from the Dallas Black Chamber Of Commerce.

The Memphis-native carved out time to make public appearances at local television and radio stations, and a surprise visit to the students at DISD schools. Carson expressed her commitment to promoting women’s basketball and a focus on “inspiring young girls to maintain a champion mindset.”

“This Victory Dinner is not just about me, but also about celebrating the underdogs in our community and those who deserve to be seen as well,” said Carson. “I am grateful to my family and supporters who have helped me reach this point, and I am excited to share this moment with them.”

When asked about how she’s processing the recent national news media attention given to the sport of women’s basketball and teammate Angel Reese, Carson shared, “It’s just great to see the hard work of the players on the team and the sport of women’s basketball get the attention it deserves. I’ve put everything into this, so it feels good.”

Congratulations Jasmine, from your friends at The Hype Magazine, and we wish you all the best in your career!
