She reflects, “Ever since I was a little girl, I knew that music would be my career.” As a result, she kept making music, this time producing a gospel album without any label backing called “Beyond the Darkness,” which eventually reached number 15 on the Billboard charts.
Her perseverance was further demonstrated by her performances on The Voice and X Factor. Even if she was destined to lose on these stages, her performances were nonetheless unforgettable. One of the most critical people in the music business, Simon Cowell, called her singing “sensational” and “amazing.”
