Jugger: An Action Hero’s Return

Originally hailing from the Caribbean, emerging rapper and creative, JUGGER now resides in Toronto and has carved a niche for himself in the city’s bursting music scene.
His project takes inspiration from his roots and filters it through an otherworldly dimension.

It’s been five years since he introduced his energetic trap-fueled stylings, and since then, he’s found support in some of the industry’s leading tastemakers including WondaGurl, Boi-1da, and more.

Today’s release marks the next chapter of JUGGER’s story, with more music and visuals to come soon.

Now let’s hop right into this latest single, “Stunt Devil” — Tell me about this particular track; how did it come to fruition?

Me, WondaGurl, and Spyder were recording in L.A., and the atmosphere of being in Hollywood gives you the feeling of being free, reckless and daring. That’s how I live my life.

As a lyricist, when you sit down to pen your rhymes where do you draw your inspiration from?

I don’t write, I channel.

What led to you linking up with WondaGurl and later signing with her Wonderchild label?

2017 Halloween night I met WondaGurl, and we were just cosmically aligned; a perfect storm.

When did you first become interested in music? And, how did it all begin for Jugger?

I was born in music, music is in my blood.

You’re a native of Toronto, Canada, correct? So growing up in ‘Queen City,’ who do you consider to be your strongest musical influences?

We call Toronto The Dot! From the city, my biggest influence is the city.

In having said that, how do you classify your overall sound and / or style?

What do you want people to get from your music?

We are all immortal.

If you could collaborate with any one artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

Bone Thugs-n-Harmony.

If you could play any venue in the world, which one would you choose and why?

Red Rocks.

On a more serious note, are you happy with the current state of Hip Hop?

No, that’s why I’m here!

What do you feel has and will continue to be the key to your longevity?

My infinite energy.

To date, what has been your biggest career moment(s)?

It hasn’t happened yet.

What advice would you have for someone wanting to follow in your footsteps?

Five or maybe even ten years from now, where do you see yourself?

A fucking Rockstar!

What’s coming this year for Jugger?
