0Tyfontaine Releases ‘Black Truck Life’ Deluxe
Rising DMV hitmaker TyFontaine makes a triumphant return with “Black Truck Life Deluxe” an extension of his well-received 2023 release, “Black Truck Life”. This follows closely after the recent drop of his EP “YUHEAME”. Inspired by the concept of “a series of tinted testimonies,” executive producer L3gion, known for his work with artists like Brent Faiyez and Pop Smoke, once again collaborates with Ty to enhance the original R&B-infused alt-rap vibe of “Black Truck Life”. Tracks like “Monica” and “Intoxicated Driving” showcase L3gion’s production finesse, matching perfectly with fan favorites such as “Sexc Lady”. The synergy between Ty and L3gion breathes new life into this previously released project, clearly indicating that TyFontaine’s star continues to rise.
Independent rising star TyFontaine has been a key voice in the emergence of rap’s revitalized underground. The DMV native, who initially signed to Internet Money in 2019, is most known for his triumphant debut album ‘Ascension.’ Igniting the new wave with an undeniably infectious and fresh sound, his vocal ability surpasses his peers – able to bend and break his voice to fit any genre. Evident on early projects like ‘1800,’ ‘We Ain’t The Same’ as well as contributions on Internet Money’s debut album ‘B4 The Storm,’ he was majorly inspired by SoundCloud era pioneers in Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti and LUCKI – citing further influence from Young Thug, Future, J. Cole, Kanye West, Tyler The Creator, Brent Faiyaz, Pharrell and Charlie Wilson among others.
The 23-year-old singer-rapper has creatively ascended since leaving Internet Money in 2021. Developing his suave “MICHI” alter ego on 2022’s ‘Beautiful Michi Girls’ – his love-inspired, R&B-centric record – Ty followed up his sophomore LP with a barrage of alt-rap bangers on his 18-track mixtape ‘WTF is P!NK.” Ty’s ear is as versatile as it is potent – earning co-signs from Lil Tecca, Trippie Redd, SoFaygo, Summrs, Joony, Coi Leray and more. Ultimately, 2023 is poised to be Fontaine’s true ‘Ascension’ year. Ty’s anticipated album ‘Ascension 2’ looks to push the boundaries of the new wave upon its arrival – aiming to fully establish himself as a generational star for years to come.
