Celebrity Event Designer Amanda Orso Elevates the First Anniversary of Award-Winning Gente Beauty by Marianne Fonseca

Lush Brazilian-inspired florals and sophisticated elements capturing the brand’s body-positive ethos created a flawless celebration for Model/Founder Marianne Fonseca and her A-list guests

Against the sultry backdrop of Manhattan’s exclusive club Zero Bond, celebrity party planner Amanda Orso set the stage for Brazilian model and entrepreneur Marianne Fonseca’s one-year anniversary as the founder of GenteBeauty. Among those in attendance were a select list of the brand’s closest collaborators and supporters, including Fonseca’s music producer beau Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers. The September 10th event beautifully captured the vibrant and perfectly polished atmosphere of New York Fashion Week, celebrating the uplifting ethos of the body-positive, award-winning Gente collection.

“Gente Beauty is all about reclaiming full confidence in your own beautiful skin,” shares Orso. “At this event, we wanted to recreate the lush, tropical landscape of Marianne’s home country, making every guest feel like an important part of this bold body care revolution.”

Orso is known for her custom tablescapes that have set the scene for memorable moments in the lives of countless celebrity clients such as Caitlyn Jenner and Fergie. For the Gente gathering, Orso aimed to capture the elevated body confidence of the female-founded brand with vases and candleholders featuring the feminine silhouette. Using the Gente color palette, the designer and owner of The High-Low Hostess chose embellishments of Green, Violet, Gold, and Canary Yellow to compliment the earthy tones of Zero Bond’s decor for a Brazil-inspired aesthetic.

“I love creating an inventive tablescape that brings to life my client’s unique vision in every tiny detail,” says Orso. “This is more than just a meal or a party – we’re putting together a moment in time that will be warmly remembered and talked about for years to come.”

The event culminated in the cutting of a black and white birthday cake, complete with a single white candle and an on-brand geometric pattern embellishment created by Soma Cakes to replicate the Gente packaging.

Guests were treated to live music by Brazilian duo Ruled by the Moon, along with natural woven tote gift bags filled with Gente bestsellers, including Bye Bye Cellulite, Lymphatic Drainage Effect, and the toxin-eliminating Body Contour Tool to help tone and perfect skin. Fonseca loved the way every aspect of the event came together flawlessly, particularly Orso’s upscale rendering of the feminine shape in sophisticated detail: “It represents the brand so nicely.”
