Theresa Bowe Gears Up to Host “Heels & Motivation” Charity Event To Bring Awareness To Child Abuse

82 Ways founded by influential global business mogul and philanthropist Theresa Bowe hosted the annual “Heels & Motivation” Charity event this past week in at Level Three in Aventura, Florida. Filled with a notable list of tastemakers, politicians, professional athletes, and entertainers, this annual event brought awareness to child abuse while promoting ways to create healthy boundaries and open communication within our own families.

In addition, Theresa Bowe is the author of “Don’t Touch Me,” an impactful children’s book that teaches kids how to speak up as well as what to do and sat when faces with an unwanted situation in their home or lives. This book also educates and supports adults on the importance of speaking to children at a young age and guides parents in ways to do so.

Bowe is popularly known for her time on OWN’s Love Goals, but since expanded her brand’s territory as it relates to making a difference, being sincere in her mission and making sure her agenda is received well and to uplift and motivate children and their parents around the world

“Doors opened since an Own TV appearance on Love Goals.,” says Theresa Bowe. “Since then, I’ve become an advocate and Speaker for Child Abuse and Human Trafficking with two powerful movements to back them. With my retired NFL husband’s support and relationships, it has help to bring the needed exposure to help spread awareness.”

Bowe goes on to state ““Heels and Motivation is a body of adults that I get to actually speak to. You will be so surprised how many adults do not talk to their kids about child abuse. We cannot think that our kids understand. We teach them how to tie their shoes, how to brush your teeth, cross the street and look both ways, but we don’t teach them what it looks like to have someone come into their household, and, you know, domestic violence with them.”

This event created a safe haven for open discussion involving child abuse and raised funds to provide free therapy to children who have been affected by abuse.

The evening concluded with a performance from hip hop mega-star and South Florida native Ballgreezy.
