Anita Blow Drops the Christmas Song

Anita Blow was born and raised in Portsmouth, Virginia, she attended I.C. Norcom High School. Anita has always had a love and the anointing for music. Her skills are for sure amazing and Heavenly just giving you a few words used to describe ANITA BLOW’s voice. (So let’s go) the singer/songwriter/actress has been performing since she was 10 years of age, traveling through the world of musical theater and gospel music. Anita has just released her first Christmas single through Universal Records. This song has always been a favorite of hers since she was a child. She can remember sitting around the fireplace, drinking eggnog while the family is enjoying trimming the tree. She loves that it brings love and warmth to the family during the holiday season.

Anita has performed with various groups such as Precious Jewel, and has been featured in a stage production of “The Sound of Music, directed by Robert Wynn Jackson, at Norfolk State University, choirs, talent shows, pageants, regional and state choruses, also featured vocalist with Earl Bynum and As We Are, a gospel group based out of Virginia. Her accomplishments with As We Are have been a blessing to her life faith and hard work paid off with an invitation to tour Europe. Anita has always been a performer who’s ready to go for the stage and has the honor to be a part of things like appearing on the “Gospel Apollo,” placing second, being the featured artist on PAX television’s “Gospel Star Search, The invite to sing at Whitney Houston’s birthday party-a true highlight of her career while under the management of Professor Eleanor Earl of E. L. Earl Entertainment, also the invited to sing at New Christ Memorial Church in Los Angeles CA, by the late, great Pastor Andraé Crouch. He invited her to go into the studio to record background vocals on Marvin Winan’s song ” All Because Of Jesus ” Pastor Andra Crouch said ANITA has the voice of a young Mahalia Jackson.

Anita’s success has never stopped as she was a featured vocalist in the highly anticipated musical, A Love to Call My Own, by K.T. Price, which featured Grammy award-winning R&B star Tank, at Hampton University. Anita’s career has traveled through different areas of this business, her being a part of a tapping by Gospel music radio host and promoter, Ed Stephens, to perform on a gospel cruise with Tye Tribbett, the late Rev. Timothy Wright, and Damon Little, etc.. In 2015 ANITA landed a part as an understudy in the stage play, I Need A Man, by Michael Matthews, in 2017, she was featured in the stage play (The Deadly Weapon) by producer/writer Zina E Williams. Anita is now under the amazing management of Zina Williams who brings the next level for Anita to grow and be the best that she can be in the entertainment business and she is looking forward to letting God use the gifts that he has given her, for His continued glory.
