Music Purist & Emerging Star – Qui Soul is Fully Showcasing the Power of Authentic Music
A few months back, I stumbled upon perhaps the best “freestyle” that I’ve had all year! The sheer quality of that freestyle made it sound like a high caliber record that was ready to be dropped on a major album! This freestyle literally had everything! The lyrical wordplay, vocal fluidity, creative one-liners and most of all, palpable emotion. To put it simply, this was a masterpiece! Filled with so much curiosity and admiration, I felt compelled to find out more about the artist. Unsurprisingly, the name of this exceptionally gifted artist was just as unique as her extremely rare talent! She goes by the moniker, “Qui Soul” which is short for Quiana Alexander.

The musical savant has barely set a foot wrong since she first burst onto the music scene. She has proven to be a multifaceted artist extraordinaire who excels at it all. You name it and she’s probably good at it! For starters, Qui is profoundly gifted and astute in Rap, Soul Music and R&B. This wide range of lyrical ability and vocal diversity is fully showcased on her most recent album; “Calling All Producers“. The “10 song” album is filled with so many gems! Songs like “Played”, “Move Around” and “Go Crazy” illustrate Qui Soul’s ability to effortlessly mix different genres. The rhythm, the bars and the hooks are all so riveting! Each of the songs on this album will take you on a journey that is both expressive and very relatable!

Nowadays it is quite uncommon to find artists like “Qui Soul” who are bold enough to ride their own wave. She never feels the need to try to sound like anyone else. To her, music is a sacred artform that can’t be forced or rushed. The manner in which she values her musical authenticity is part of what makes Qui such a rare breed of artist. In many ways, she is a throwback to the good old days where musicians were not solely focused on the commercial side of music. Today, most artists are almost exclusively driven by monetary gain and popularity, even if it comes at the expense of their musical identity and authentic sound. However, when it comes to Qui Soul, nothing overrides making good authentic music. Not even money! She truly is a rare breed of artist who is worth keeping an eye on.
