Gordy Explores the Vibrance of Love With “Truth Be Told” Music Video

Botswanan Pop artist Gordy today explores the vibrant side to being in love, with his music video release for single, “Truth Be Told.” Gordy’s rich vocals top-line a mellow back beat and smooth keys accompaniment that seem custom built for the alluring scenes delivered throughout the video.

Shot in Gordy’s hometown of Gaborone, “Truth Be Told” incorporates the stunning colors and vibrant landscape of the city to create an absorbing collage to match the hopeful and pure message of Gordy’s music. A message particularly inspired by the artist’s spirituality. Gordy explains, “After producing and DJing for a while, something happened. God came into my life and I found my purpose. That was the point where I suddenly felt the urge to sing. Ever since then, I’ve been singing on my tracks. I bought a microphone, changed my name to Gordy – and started releasing my music”. Perhaps this higher purpose is working it’s magic as the organic success of Gordy’s debut EP, H.o.m.e, on Spotify caught the eye of Swedish label Amuse who have taken the aspiring young musician under their wing.

“Truth Be Told” is a reflection of Gordy’s emotions and conscience. “The song is about believing in something, being open about it – and not feeling ashamed of it. Honestly, when I wrote it, I wrote it with my love for God in mind. And how I’m not ashamed of that love” says Gordy about the new single. This relationship has a place on earth as well, and is depicted in Gordy’s human relationship documented in this video.

This hopeful anthem to truth, love, and life is Gordy’s first music video and was the first single taken from his EP, H.o.m.e. released last year. Fans can stay tuned for new releases throughout 2019.
