Chuck D Protege Josh Stone is back with a rebellious track aimed at his haters. On “Said That I Couldn’t,” the New York-bred, LA-living songwriter and producer is flexing more of his vocal bars as he spits enough verbal combat to make any critics nervous: Said that I couldn’t/ So you know that I did/ You’re broke and I’m flossin/ Take your girl to the crib.
This second release from Stone’s own imprint Real Vibez Only signals his continued journey up the rap ranks, a climb he’s been making ever since his beat production started turning heads among some industry heavy-hitters.
