Lex is Firmly in the Driving Seat in New Single

Drive is the lead single from Lex, an artist who is a quickly rising prospect in the Chicago lofi hip-hop scene. Lex is a rapper, singer, and songwriter, and was brought up by his mother who immigrated from Serbia, he pursued a life of music and has been on the path for nine years. Drive is on his show-stopping LP, give it a spin below:

Discussing the release, Lex says:

“Drive is such an organic song in it’s nature. I never wrote anything down while creating it. I would piece together lyrics in my head as they came to me while driving around in my car. I truly lost myself in the beat while cruising through the streets. One of the key lyrics in Drive that strikes me deeply were “there’s highs and there’s lows, it’s all just the same to me” meaning that life ebbs and flows but in the end eventually balances out. We all tend to stay stuck in the lows when we should embrace the highs equally since life only happens once for us all.”
