J Balvin Shows His Broken Heart In New Animated Music Video: “Azul”

Latin legend J Balvin dropped the official animated music video for his new hit “Azul” and we can’t get enough. The smooth reggaeton track revolves around a relationship gone wrong; the video shows the blue-headed animated version of J Balvin falling in love, getting hurt and coping with a very sad break-up. Him and his lover seemed to have it all; love, lust and matching puppies who obviously became best friends. In the music video, he cycles through reminiscing about the good parts of his relationship while buying a blow-up doll to try to help him forget. His glitter tears pour out as the video cuts to shots of his ex on Tinder and going out with her girls.

“Azul” is part of the Colores album and follows the music videos for “Blanco,” “Morado,” “Rojo,” “Amarillo,” “Gris,” “Verde,” and “Rosado”. “Azul” is by far a fan favorite; perhaps it’s the depth, the heartache….or probably the cute little animated puppy. Yeah…definitely the cute little animated puppy. J Balvin has won five Billboard Latin Music Awards, four Latin Grammy Awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and four Latin American Music Awards and received two Grammy Award nominations. In 2017 the BMI Latin Awards named him the Contemporary Latin Songwriter of the Year for his contribution in Latin music industry. Clearly a decorated artist, his music never fails to get you up and moving to his undoubtedly infectious rhythm and style. “Azul” does not disappoint.
