If America voted Wyclef Jean for President

Just days after Donald Trump was inaugurated into office, I cant help but think about Wyclef Jean’s (@wyclef) recent release, “If I Was President.” In less than five days, Trump has already started breaking down Obamacare, and signed off on changes regarding purchasing real estate and abortions. Yeah, this is a perfect time to listen to what life would be like with Wyclef as President.

The single, a re-imagined version of his political classic, today. The track, with new lyrics about the current political and social climate, can be purchased here. ‘Jean’s song was featured on J’ouvert, Wyclef’s highly anticipated EP that debuted two months ago.  J’ouvert features Young Thug, Walk The Moon and others, and the title refers to the official beginning of Carnival.

J’ouvert is a precursor to Wyclef’s forthcoming full length album aptly titled Carnival III: Road To Clefication dropping this summer on the 20th anniversary of Wyclef’s critically acclaimed debut The Carnival. The EP has already created quite a buzz with confirmed appearances from Young Thug, Walk The Moon Afrojack, Emeli Sandé and multiplatinum DJ/recording artist Avicii.
