Smith and Hay release ‘Second Thoughts’ album (Various Artist)

Smith and Hay have released Second Thoughts, a compilation album and soundtrack for a movie being released in 2018. The album name Second Thoughts came about because as producers, Smith and Hay were having second thoughts with some of the music they’ve released in the past. So they reworked some select songs of their rapidly growing catalog for this original project. The movie is about someone having second thoughts in life and trying to figure out a way for a parallel universe to exist and to undo some decisions that they made. This will be Smith and Hay’s first feature film.

Standout songs on the soundtrack include “Freeway to LA” by Dizzy Wright and “The Flower Demo” by Kanye West’s GOOD Music artist, Cyhi The Prynce. Second Thoughts also includes collaborations with Kxng Crooked and Royce da 5’9, who are both from Eminem’s Slaughterhouse/Shady Records camp. Other artists who are part of the project include hip hop pioneer Kool G Rap, Twista, Canibus, Troy Ave, Madchild, Jerome Bigfoot Brailey of Parliament Funkadelic, Big V aka Vito Banga of Nappy Roots, and many more.

Second Thoughts was worked on by The Visionary And The Architect, who just released Stories for Sandy, which includes instruments played by Grammy Award winner Jerry Hey and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jerome “Bigfoot” Brailey. Second Thoughts is a must hear LP
