RECAP: Soultronik Came Out on Top at American Producers League Competition

A mix of new and established producers came together for a brand new competition in New York City. The American Producers League Competition consisted of three rounds, where eight new and upcoming producers were able to showcase their skills in front of judges and a crowd excited to hear new talent. The judges of the competition included, Buda Da Future, Buda has provided production for Rick Ross, Dave East, The LOX, and Meek Mill along with countless others, engineer Elus, and founder of Earwaxx Session D.A the Future.

The judges were able to critique and provide feedback to producers throughout the competition but when it came down to selecting a winner the decision presented itself as a challenge due to the high level of talent in the room. With the competition almost reaching a ‘sudden death’ match producer Soultronik (pictured below) came out on top as the 2nd A.P.L Champion.

“We are glad everyone had a great time. The tournament was extremely competitive, we are happy to call Soultronik our 2nd APL Champion,” said A.P.L.’s Candid Nicole.

A.P.L.’s DJ Ray Blk said, “After four nail biting rounds only one producer survived the American Producers League.”

Sponsors of the event included, AllHipHop.com, Heart Clothing, Soundhouse, Keller Williams Tribeca , and Cubano’s Cheesecake. With this second competition under their belt, A.P.L. has plans on turning this into a monthly event. The goal is to provide producers with a bigger platform and to encourage more recognition within the entertainment industry.
