VA Rapper CosmoBlack Shows Us He’s Ahead of His Time in New Track Titled, ‘New Moon’

Every once in a while we come across a rising artist who is worth looking out for, and CosmoBlack is one of them. As a rising rapper from Richmond, VA, he is definitely on the come up as he continues to create solid projects. His newest track, New Moon, also comes with a visual that was released late-2017 on Youtube. He uses his lyrics to show he’s ahead of the game and shows off his ability to rap in a variety of flows. You hear CosmoBlack sing on the track, while he also presents to us his fast rap cadence and his ability to actually create a song, which is always important. In this track, CosmoBlack gives us a catchy chorus that automatically gets you to nod your head after a few listens. It takes a while to appreciate the song, but as you continue to listen you can’t help but relate and start to feel like you can begin quoting the song instantly. As you listen chorus after chorus, it just happens and you’re singing ” I’m muthafu**ing ahead of my time”.

The best thing about this up and coming artist is you can hear his area influence and see that he sonically comes from the VA area. The beat, which was produced by CosmoBlack and VA producer MusiqqBeats, displays instruments that are familiar in other VA rappers tracks like Wale during his early days. This ultimately is a feel good song that anyone can relate to as we spring into the new season and all come out like a new moon.
