Johnny Orlando – Last Summer

Teen sensation Johnny Orlando is back with “Last Summer”, an upbeat pop anthem that playfully recalls the magic of summer days past and explores a more mature lyric sound from the 15-year-old artist. Listen to the track HERE and check out the lyric video HERE.

“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written,” said Orlando. “It’s about something we can all relate to – hanging out, sharing stories about the summer, the best memories with friends and a special girl and just wishing you could re-live those moments, do it all again.” He adds, “It’s definitely a different sound compared to the music I’ve previously released – the vibe is a mix of pop with some hip-hop elements.”

Co-written by Orlando, his sister Darian and collaborators Liz Rodrigues and producer Mike Wise (bülow, Dvbbs, RALPH), “Last Summer” has Johnny’s massive fan base (more than 16 million across all social platforms) buzzing.

This is the hotly anticipated follow-up track to his hit “What If” – a duet with Mackenzie Ziegler that garnered over 40 million streams across global platforms. The “What If” music video (currently clocking over 16 million views on YouTube), premiered on Apple Music and hit #1 in 25 markets around the world. It peaked at #1 on the global Tik Tok (formerly musical.ly) song chart and was on the Viral 50 Spotify chart in 33 countries.

Orlando himself has had a busy summer. Packed with studio sessions and songwriting as he prepares to release his first EP, a sold-out, multi-city European tour (with Bars and Melody) and a new batch of notable award nominations (2018 Teen Choice Award for Choice Web Music Star and iHeart Much Music Video Awards for Best New Canadian Artist). To top it all off, he signed with Island Records U.S. and U.K., alongside his home label, Universal Music Canada.
