Rising Cuban-American artist La Goony Chonga has unmasked her latest reggaeton single ‘Duro 2005’, out now.
Influenced by early 2000’s classic reggaeton, La Goony Chonga adds her own unique flavor to ‘Duro 2005’ by using classic air horns and transitioning into a hard trap, reggaeton beat. Translating to ‘Hard 2005’, La Goony delivers sharp Spanish flows and makes the track completely her own. ‘Duro 2005’ stands as the second single off her forthcoming album, ‘DIMEN5ION’, which is slated for release later this year.
At the forefront of the Chonga movement, the Spanish-derived term used in South Florida to describe a working-class, sexually liberated, expressive young woman, La Goony Chonga’s no-holds-barred approach to making music continues to strike a chord with fans.
Making her debut in the Latin music scene in 2016, La Goony Chonga has made waves as an artist who is unapologetically herself spitting irresistible flows and honest, uncompromising lyrics.
