20 Recipes To Help You Feel Great For The 2020 Oscars & Beyond

The 2020 Oscar Season is now well underway, coming just a week after the NFL Super Bowl and a day after the launch of the XFL season. Oh, and just a week after that comes Valentine’s Day, as followed by President’s Week. In turn, plenty of celebrating ought to be happening in February 2020. Should you be hosting sometime soon, it never hurts to have some cocktail recipes at your disposal.

Below are 20 drink recipes that you ought to be able to make within the comfort of your home.

#1: Flame Thrower
Inspired by nominee Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood

Ingredients:
– 0.75 oz. Cointreau
– 2 oz. tequila
– 0.75 oz. fresh lime juice
– 0.5 cup whole strawberries
– 0.25 oz. 1:1 simple syrup
– 1 slice jalapeño
– 0.5 cup crushed ice

Method:
– Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend to combine.
– Pour into Margarita glass rimmed with chili-lime seasoning.
– Sprinkle more chili-lime seasoning on top of cocktail as desired.

#2: Last Laugh
Inspired by nominee Joker

Ingredients
– 0.75 oz. Cointreau
– 1.5 oz. blended scotch
– 0.75 oz. fresh lemon juice
– 3 coins muddled ginger
– 0.5 oz. 1:1 honey syrup

Method:
– Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice.
– Strain into a rocks glass with fresh ice.
– Float ”green-smoke” (0.25 oz peated scotch with green food dye) atop the cocktail by pouring slowly over the back of a bar spoon.

#3: Cross Country
Inspired by nominee Marriage Story

Ingredients:
– 0.75 oz. Cointreau
– 1.5 oz. rye
– 0.5 oz. Italian vermouth
– 0.5 oz. fresh grapefruit juice

Method:
– Add all ingredients to a shaker tin with ice.
– Shake and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
– Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

#4: Tanteo Tequila Mahomes Margarita

Ingredients:
– 1 ½ oz Tanteo Blanco Tequila
– 3/4 oz Ginger Liqueur
– 1/2 oz Turmeric Simple Syrup
– 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Method:
– Combine ingredients in a shaker with ice.
– Shake well and strain into an ice-filled Rocks Glass.
– Garnish with a lemon wedge and ginger slice.

#5: Halftime Punch

Ingredients:
– 2 oz. Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon
– 3 oz. Unsweetened Tea
– 1.5 oz. Strawberry Lemonade
– 1.5 oz. Orange Juice

Method:
– Pour over ice in a teacup.
– Garnish with a mint sprig and a cinnamon stick.

#6: Blackberry Smash

Ingredients:
– 1 ½ oz. Early Times Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon
– 1½ oz. chilled Earl Grey Tea
– ½ oz. shot blackberry simple syrup
– Garnish with a blackberry and a sprig of rosemary

Method:
– Mix Early Times Bottled-In-Bond, chilled Earl Grey Tea, blackberry syrup, and ice in a glass.
– Stir ingredients and strain into a coupe glass.
– Garnish with a blackberry and a sprig of rosemary.

#7: Rhubarb Mint Julep

Ingredients for 1 cocktail:
– 3 fresh mint leaves
– 1 oz. rhubarb syrup
– 2 oz. Early Times Bottled-In-Bond Bourbon
– Splash of water
– Lots of crushed ice

Method:
– Muddle the mint leaves with the rhubarb syrup in a cocktail glass.
– Add the crushed ice (until the glass is mostly full) followed by the bourbon and a splash of water.
– Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and strips of rhubarb.

#8: Butterfly


Ingredients:
– 3 part Absolut Elyx Vodka
– 2 part Lillet Blanc
– 1 part Lemon Juice
– 1 part Orange Blossom Honey
– 6 part Silver Needle Jasmine Tea
– Vessel: Copper Flamingo Punch Bowl
– Garnish: Edible flowers, orange wheels, and serve over fresh ice in individual rocks glasses

Method:
– Add all ingredients to our copper flamingo punch bowl over a large block of ice.
– Stir to combine.

#9: Tawny Owl

Ingredients:
– 1 part Absolut Elyx Vodka
– 1 part Tawny Port
– 1/2 part Viciolata Cherry Wine
– 1/2 part Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
– 1/3 part Sugar Syrup
– Vessel: Copper Owl
– Garnish: Dehydrated Orange Slice & Cherry

Method:
– Add all ingredients in a shaker and shake well with cubed ice.
– Strain over cracked ice in our Copper Owl.
– Garnish with a dehydrated orange slice and a fresh cherry.

#10: Croft Pink Frosé

Method:
– You only need to place the bottle of Croft Port in the freezer for 12 to 24 hours before combining it with ice cubes in a blender until smooth.
– Then it is ready to drink.

#11: Sapporo Raspberry Lemonade Beer Cocktail

Ingredients:
– 1 cup of fresh raspberries or frozen
– 12 oz. of chilled Sapporo Beer
– 1 container frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate, thawed or pink lemonade
– ½ cup good quality vodka
– Lime slices or fresh raspberries for garnish (optional)

Method:
– In a large container stir together the raspberries, Sapporo, lemonade and vodka.
– Serve in ice filled glass.
– Garnish with lime slices or fresh raspberries if desired.

#12: Grapes And Grains

Ingredients – Build in preheated stemmed glass:
– 0.75 oz. Bitter Chocolate Cabernet syrup
– 1.5 oz. Slane Irish Whiskey
– Hot coffee to 1/4” from top
– Lightly-whipped unsweetened heavy cream to top
– Garnish with grated bitter chocolate and orange twist.
– Bitter chocolate Cabernet syrup (2 cups Cabernet, 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 1 cup corn syrup, 2 cups chopped 85% cacao bitter chocolate)
– Orange peels from 2 oranges

Method:
– Heat all ingredients (except orange peels) on medium heat until reduced by 1/3.
– Add in orange peels and simmer on low for 20 more minutes.
– Chill, strain, and store in refrigerator.

#13: Granny Georgia’s Irish Pie

Ingredients – Build in preheated footed mug:
– 1 oz. Cinnamon / Toasted Pecan syrup
– 1.5 oz. Slane Irish Whiskey
– Hot coffee to 1/2” from top
– Top with peach whipped cream
– Garnish with chopped pecans, cinnamon stick, and mint sprig
– Cinnamon / Toasted Pecan syrup (4 cinnamon sticks roughly broken, 2 cups toasted and chopped pecans, 2 cups white sugar, 2 cups water)
– Peach whipped cream (1/2 cup good quality peach preserves, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon confectioners sugar)

Method:
– Heat all ingredients on medium heat until reduced by 1/3.
– Chill, strain, and store in refrigerator.
– Whip cream with hand mixer until soft peaks.
– Fold in peach preserves and whip until firm.
– Put in piping bag for easy application.

#14: Sweet Heat Margarita

Ingredients:
– 2 ounces Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila
– 1 ounce fresh lime juice
– ½ ounce Agave nectar
– 4-5 muddled raspberries

Method:
– Muddle raspberries and combine other ingredients in a shaker with ice.
– Shake well and double strain into an ice-filled rocks glass.
– Garnish with raspberry skewer.

#15: Margarita Al Pastor

Ingredients:
– 2 ounces Corralejo Silver
– 8 pieces charred pineapple
– 1 ounce chile syrup
– ½ ounce agave syrup
– 1 ounce lime juice

Method:
– Rim your glass with salt
– Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice
– Shake to chill and combine ingredients
– Fine strain into a coupe glass
– Garnish & Enjoy!

#16: Tequila Avión Rosarita

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 part Avión Silver
– 1/2 part fresh lime juice
– 1/4 part fresh lemon juice
– 1/4 part rosé wine
– 1/2 part Agave Nectar

Method:
– Mix ingredients
– Enjoy

#17: Tequila Avión Cranberry Cinnamon Margarita

Ingredients:
– 1 1⁄2 parts Avión Silver
– 1⁄2 part cranberry juice
– 1⁄2 part lime juice
– 1⁄4 part cinnamon syrup
– 3-4 dashes Angostura bitters

Method:
– Mix ingredients
– Enjoy

#18: Mint Chocolate Black Barrel

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 parts Hornitos Black Barrel Tequila
– 3/4 part chocolate liqueur
– 2 dashes Angostura bitters
– Mint leaves
– Strawberry

Method:
– Lightly muddle 3-5 mint leaves in a shaker.
– Add remainder of ingredients into the shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
– Strain into a martini glass and garnish with a strawberry.

#19: Tequila Bee’s Knees

Ingredients:
– 1 1/2 parts Hornitos Reposado Tequila
– 3/4 part fresh lemon juice
– 1/2 part fresh cranberry juice
– 1/2 part honey
– Maraschino cherry
– Lemon twist

Method:
– Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously.
– Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry and a lemon twist.

#20: Hearts On Fire

Ingredients:
– 2 oz. Casamigos Blanco Tequila
– 1 oz. Blood Orange Juice
– 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
– 0.5 oz. Simple Syrup
– 2 Dashes of Firewater Bitters OR 2 Slices of Serrano
– Optional: Rim of Salt/Sugar/Tajín Mixture (Equal Parts)

Method:
– Add all ingredients into shaker.
– Muddle fruit, add ice, shake vigorously, and fine strain into rocks glass.
– Add fresh ice and garnish with 2 heart-shaped cut outs of blood orange peel placed on top of cocktail.
– Tajín salt over top.
