Devin Sunshine – Runaway

‘Runaway’ is the harsh, dark, and prevailing debut album of rapper and singer Devin Sunshine. With beginning themes centering around anger, rage, and the personal demons Devin has faced, the album first takes a tone of vengeance and personal struggle, with Devin rapping about “[having] some things to say (and not all of them are pretty)”, having “burned a lot of bridges, broken a lot of hearts, and said a lot of things that [she] regrets” and being “vindictive as f*ck”.

The album ventures into her personal realizations at the “demon” she’s become in the process of excavating the demons within her, and further into her process of awakening from that mess, healing, and coming to terms with who she really is.
