LIMAHL On Finding Success Beyond Kajagoogoo, New Single “Still In Love,” Lemmy & More

Pop icon LIMAHL has had a major resurgance within the last few years, largely in part to high-profile references and/or musical usages within Black Mirror, American Horror Story and Stranger Things. In turn, the Kajagoogoo singer remains in vogue more than three decades after he first turned heads internationally with hit singles like “Too Shy,” “Only For Love” and “Neverending Story.”

But LIMAHL is not just coasting off of prior success, releasing a new single earlier this month titled “Still In Love,” his first new music in 8 years. Premiered via American Songwriter, the video for “Still In Love” features professional dancers Cameron Anthony and Eliza Simonelli. The song itself was helmed alongside German producer Miro Markus (Culcha Candela, Graham Candy, Ferras).

I had the pleasure of speaking with LIMAHL via Zoom on June 12, 2020 about “Still In Love,” future plans amidst COVID-19, being a lifer in music, his early days, whether or not he has metal roots, and plenty more. The full interview is embedded below for your viewing pleasure, along with the video for “Still In Love.” More on LIMAHL can be found online by visiting www.limahl.com.
