Myles Erlick On His New Single “Sweat,” His Upcoming Steven Spielberg-Directed Project & More

Myles Erlick is a Canadian singer/songwriter, music producer, actor and dancer. Making his professional debut at 11, starring in Billy Elliot: The Musical on Broadway, the quadruple threat has since been featured in the Disney series The Next Step, and is set to take centerstage in Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film adaptation of the timeless musical classic West Side Story.

With his 2017 single “Serious” — over 1.2 million views on YouTube and counting — the budding artist proved his musical chops were as tight as his dance moves. A debut album, ME, soon followed, charting on iTunes’ Top 100 global pop albums. Erlick’s latest single is “Sweat,” as released earlier this month via Universal Music Canada. A blood-pumping banger, the track symbolizes the debut of what Erlick calls “Myles 2.0,” as largely inspired by musical icons Justin Timberlake and Michael Jackson.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Myles Erlick about “Sweat,” career goals and plenty more via Zoom on July 21, 2020. The full conversation is embedded below for your viewing and listening pleasure. More on Erlick and his various projects can be found online by visiting www.myleserlick.net.
