0Q&A with CEO of Emerging Hip Hop Label ‘MiFly’ – C Dub
CEO of emerging Hip Hop label ‘MiFly’, C Dub, met his industry colleagues Goodbook and Goldeci in a very synchronistic way – the three shared the same vision for their careers in music. Their aligned drive and interests led them to launch their now, 11 person strong hip hop label ‘MiFly’, whose journey continues to grow even during 2020. We sat down with C Dub to discuss the inner workings of his label, challenges he’s faced as an entrepreneur and where how he sees the label growing over the next five to ten years.
Tell us a little bit about your label. What artists are currently signed with MiFly?
Our Label is a bond between like minded individuals with the same vision, goals and lifestyle. Currently we have a total of nine talented & artistic individuals making music with MiFly, which are currently signed, including Goodbook and Marlo.Primo spearheading the group of artist which are coming with heat very soon.
The biggest challenge we have faced while making our way through the industry is strategically marketing ourselves as an independent label and as a brand. We have had much success recently in this field but still many more stepping stones to come.
Despite the current Pandemic going on in the world, MiFly has really pulled together and kept pushing forward their message of having a positive mindset while continuing our hustle and drive towards success, unity and growth. We believe through all the bad times there is still plenty of good to come out of it.
FAMILY. Our biggest accomplishment is staying together united as one cohesive unit pushing creativity and support not only us within our team but for others who want to achieve the same dream.
Our goal for the next 5 years is to top the charts with MiFly artists every year while growing our brand. Upon doing so MiFly’s 10 year goal is to grow as a global brand growing with more artists and topping more charts as we leave our brand imprinted with our fans.
Right now we’re currently listening to our well diversified MiFly catalog.
The biggest thing we would tell a young artists is to stay consistent, believe and invest in yourself while staying on your path because it can get windy.
In our personal opinion, the greatest strengths in the industry is what it always has been, which is creating a platform for the artist to express themselves. The greatest weakness is the lack of support for artist that don’t fit into the cookie cutter mold that is expected by majority.
