Global Status Inc artist Lay B has just released his first joint ever. The sophisticated track is titled “Rags 2 Riches” and shares with the fans the evolution of his rap, from a mediocre one to going all in with it, partly thanks to his brother who always made sure to share his constructive criticism and opinion regarding Lay B’s music throughout the years.

The Atlanta based MC was born in New Jersey, and mainly got his inspiration from the greatest in the game including Tupac, Biggie Smallz, Nas, Eminem, and 50 Cent. Growing up, Lay B’s first mentor was his own father who was a rapper too, and Lay B would secretly borrow some beats from his catalogue to then write his own raps on them. He would imitate his father in many ways before things got a little more complicated.
