Savon Bartley was born an only child in North Chicago, Illinois, but raised by the voices of gospel and soul singers, which is where his biggest influence comes from as he would listen to that music on the car ride to church as a kid.
The talented wordsmith then played drums in school and discovered hip-hop, which changed everything.
The likes of Afropunk, The New York Times, and The Odyssey have been loving the artists music, which isn’t a surprise as he is currently working on new music and is excited about what he has on the way.
If it’s interesting storytelling, and infectious beats you’re after, there should only be one name on your lips.
Speaking on the new track he says:
“She was gorgeous. So gorgeous I had to write a song about it. I love this song because I had fun making it and It was nice to meet someone that reminded me where I was from.”
