Kristin Chenoweth On Working With Kellogg’s, Her New Film “Holidate,” Her New Series “Candy Land,” Oklahoma & More

If 2020 hasn’t worn you out yet, just take a look at Kristin Chenoweth’s Instagram. One scroll through her account and you may question how anyone has the energy to be everywhere at once. For starters, Kristin Chenoweth recently released the album For The Girls, starred in the Netflix film Holidate, appeared in the HBO Max film The Witches and filmed the new Food Network series Candy Land. In turn, the award-winning actress and author has been hard at work entertaining us while we are enjoying our cheese and crackers — perhaps courtesy of Kellogg’s — on the sofa.

Additionally, Kristin Chenoweth has joined the star-studded ensemble cast for Apple TV+’s upcoming musical comedy project, starring Saturday Night Live‘s Cecily Strong and executive produced by Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video. The untitled comedy series follows a couple on a backpacking trip designed to reinvigorate their relationship when they discover the magical town of Schmigadoon, in which everyone acts as if they are in a 1940s studio musical. They then discover that they cannot leave until they find “true love.” Additional cast members include Keegan-Michael Key, Alan Cumming, Fred Armisen, Aaron Tveit, Dove Cameron, Ariana DeBose, Jaime Camil, Jane Krakowski and Ann Harada.

On November 11, 2020, I had the pleasure of speaking with Kristin Chenoweth via Zoom, as embedded below. We spoke about her work with Kellogg’s, upcoming projects, her Oklahoma roots, how the COVID-19 pandemic changed things for her, and more. Additional information related to Chenoweth can be found online via www.officialkristinchenoweth.com, www.twitter.com/KChenoweth and www.instagram.com/kchenoweth.
