0Reb Beach On His New Album “A View From The Inside” & His Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp Masterclass
Reb Beach is one of the indisputable guitar giants of the current hard rock scene. Beyond playing with Winger on all of its key albums, Beach remains part of Whitesnake and a part of supergroup Black Swan, beyond prior playing with Alice Cooper, Dokken, Twisted Sister, Fiona, Night Ranger and supergroup The Mob. In other words, the Pittsburgh-based guitarist and composer has worked steadily for decades and shows no signs of slowing down professionally anytime soon.
A View From The Inside is the latest solo album from Reb Beach, as slated for a November 6, 2020 release via Frontiers Music Srl. An album that showcases the dynamic talents of the guitar virtuoso, fans of Steve Morse and Joe Satriani will find a lot to love in the 11 songs on offer the album, but while there is certainly a lot of ear candy for the musician-types. Fans of hard rock in general will find a wealth of melodies and transcendent moments where the songs simply make you forget there are no vocals. As embedded below, a music video for “Infinito 1122” was released to YouTube and other video-oriented outlets last month, as was the A View From The Inside track “Aurora Borealis.”
On October 26, 2020, I had the pleasure of interviewing Reb Beach — who will be part of a Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp Masterclass on November 7, 2020 — via Skype, as shown below. We talked about A View From The Inside, his early days in New York, getting a big break via Fiona, future plans, how he influenced Longwave’s Steve Schiltz, and plenty more.
