From the outside looking in, who is the artist, Jeris Johnson?

A genre-bending rockstar from the future here to slay the fire breathing dragon (music industry) and save the world from boring music.

Was there a defining moment that brought you to the music industry?

Idk about the music industry per se but the day I fell in love with music itself was my first rock band camp when I was like 13. That was my “I wanna do this for the rest of my life” moment. Made the decision that day and never looked back.

You’ve got a well rounded musical palette having come from the world of metal to the world of pop culture, what excites you most about your transition?

I wanna create the future of music. I wanna make shit that sounds like it came from 2030. I want them to have to invent a new genre name for what I’m doing.

When do you think was the moment you knew you had crossed over into the world of musical influencers?

The day I downloaded that goddamn app TikTok onto my phone. I was like “you know what if all these other people can get famous and get ginormous million-dollar record deals from TikTok then so can I”. I ALMOST gave up on it though not gonna lie. After like a year of trying, that damn! TikTok was my last-ditch effort. Good thing I stuck with it lol.

Your single “damn!” was pretty exciting and high energy, do you feel that will be your lane going forward, or are there plans to mix it up?

My lane is the lane of infinite lanes. Nothing is off the table for me artistically. Whatever I have a blast making is what I’m gonna make.

What do you want listeners to get from your music?

I want them to experience brand new emotions never felt by humankind before. That’s what groundbreaking music can do, make you feel things you’ve never felt before.

Tell us about your passions outside of music!

Playing video games and thinking about how I’m gonna buy a farm in the middle of nowhere and do whatever the fuck I want.

What’s been your craziest WTF moment thus far in your career?

This entire past 2 months has been one big wtf moment. From a million new followers to meeting up with Papa Roach after I made my last resort remake TikTok. I’m so thankful for all of this opportunity and everyone who has shown their support for all this, it’s special and I will seize this moment.

If you could collab with any artist living or dead who would that dream collab be with?

I’d make a song with xxxtentacion and Slipknot and start a 7 billion person circle pit.
