YPC Baby P- “An Artist on the Rise”

Throughout the roller coaster ride we call life we are constantly presented with signs in which introduce us to our purpose. Some ignore these signs while others embrace them resulting in the flourishment of their fates. Being born with the ability and passion to create music is a gift that many artists describe as an innate sense that they are meant for great things. The majority of musically inclined individuals, whom veer off from their passion, typically feel a great sense of loss and emptiness resulting in finding their way back to the booth. It is usually after this experience, that their purpose is most evident. YPC Baby P is a prime example of an artist who was bombarded with a plethora of obstacles in which he overcame due to his profound love for music and determination to prove he has what it takes to make an impact in the industry.

It is during an artist’s childhood when they first begin to experiment with sounds and writing, striving to develop their unique identity. At the young age of 5, Baby P discovered his deep love for music. His aunt, Ora Denise Allen, better known as the famous R&B soul singer Denise LaSalle, is credited as a primary source of inspiration for Baby P. Growing up in Mississippi Baby P did not have a large support system. Having a baby at the age of 15, made it more apparent that he would have to face harsh realities independently.

Throughout high school, Baby P’s drive to succeed grew tremendously. Recording and releasing his single, “Too Hard”, was the track that allowed Baby P to gain traction and buzz throughout his area. Once he received his diploma, Baby P attended Mississippi Delta Community College. Class after class, the only subject that consumed his mind was music. Soon after, Baby P made the decision to drop out of school and pursue music full time. After releasing another single, “Vibe with Me”, he was contacted by the independent record label, “Young Paper Chasers” (YPC) in which he is currently signed to. Baby P has had the privilege of working with many artists during his time as an asset to the label such as, TLE Cinco, OMB Peezy, Big Boogie, and Lil Migo, to name a few.

Young Paper Chasers has been working diligently to become a household name by developing unique and successful marketing strategies which as assisted them in obtaining new fans and larger numbers daily. “Heart of the Delta”, the album Baby P is currently creating, is planned to be released on January 15, 2021. This project is highly anticipated by his fans as he has acquired support nationwide. Baby P and YPC plans to tour worldwide once the project is available to the public.

From the age of 5 to present time, Baby P has continuously voiced his love for music along with his desire to pursue his dreams. He is a perfect example that anything is possible as long as you stay true to yourself and remain focused, motivated, and hungry for success.
