Two Million Dollars In Sneakers, Millions of Spotify Streams On The Way for SBCollector

Chris Robinson is a man on a mission, and ever since he opened his first sneaker store at 19, he’s been accomplishing every goal he sets for himself. So when Chris said he was making music, we all knew we should tune in. Chris has been making music for the past year, but got his start in the sneaker game. Having amassed a collection of sneakers worth millions, Chris is putting his talent into creating grounded and rhythmic hip hop beats. Inspired by the big names of the late 90s and early 2000s, Robinson uses analog tools combined with the newest in music software to make his music. Relying on analog equipment, he says, allows him to really get an organic feel to his music that he feels is missing from modern mainstream hip hop.

Chris is no stranger to the music business, having clad the feet of many rappers and other musical artists. He says the friends he made through his business, have become mentors to him as he starts his career. With a lot of good feedback, and an impressive work ethic to back his natural talent up, Robinson is well on his way to becoming a household name in the genre.

I asked him what advice he’d give to aspiring sneaker heads and musicians. Here’s what he said, “My one piece of advice for anyone wanting to get into the sneaker industry is to always be ahead of the trends. If you can figure out what the next big thing might be, you can capitalize on that. With music, avoid the trends and stay true to your sound. It’s a balance, like everything in life.”
