Aerosmith’s Joey Kramer On His February 17th Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp Masterclass, Coffee & More

Arguably “America’s Greatest Rock Band,” Aerosmith has sold over 150 million albums worldwide, with 25 gold albums, 18 platinum albums, and 12 multi-platinum albums to the band’s credit. Reportedly, Aerosmith holds the record for the most total certifications by an American band and is tied for the most multi-platinum albums by an American band. The quintet has scored 21 Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 — including 9 #1 Mainstream Rock hits – and are the recipients of 4 GRAMMYs, 6 American Music Awards, 4 Billboard Awards and 10 MTV Video Music Awards.

The backbeat of Aerosmith has been provided by drummer Joey Kramer since 1970. In turn, Kramer — the source of the Aerosmith band name — literally has 50 years of experience with Aerosmith alone, and has been part of all of the things that a pop culture icon would hope to be part of (e.g. being animated into The Simpsons, inspiring an amusement park ride, having a video game, being inducted into multiple Hall Of Fame institutions). Kramer has also found success outside of Aerosmith with Rockin’ & Roastin’ Coffee, which he launched in 2012, and in penning the memoir Hit Hard: A Story Of Hitting Rock Bottom At The Top. Kramer will be free to discuss all of that and more as part of a February 17, 2021 Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp Masterclass, an event open to the general public.

On February 10, 2021, I had the pleasure of speaking with Joey Kramer via Zoom, as embedded below. We talked about said Masterclass, his coffee company, his memoir and plenty more within our chat. More on Kramer is available online here, here, here and here. More on Kramer’s upcoming Rock & Roll Fantasy Camp Masterclass can be found online at www.rockcampmasterclasses.com.
