0Allison Saleh – Love Set Me Free
Based out of Fresno, California, Allison Saleh is a long-time singer/songwriter. She went to college in 2006 to pursue a music degree. However, when a life-changing event occurred in March or 2010 on campus, she was inspired once again to write music and share her soul with whoever would listen.
Allison was the lead singer and songwriter for the band “SirenSinging”. SirenSinging released their EP “Things I’ll Never Say” March 2011 and performed all over California. Her original song “You & I” was featured in the children’s film “Bands on the Run.” In 2020 she released her EP “Still I Rise” and in 2021 “Love Set Me Free.”. She continues to perform all over the state of California. Allison also sings in the country cover band, Wheelhouse, as their female lead singer. They perform all over California at fairs, corporate events, private events, ag expos, music festivals and more. She also has been the music director of churches and is a consultant for worship teams looking to improve their musicianship and vocals.
Her music ranges in style from pop, rock, indie, and folk. Musical influences include Kate Nash, Maroon 5, Regina Spektor, Queen, and Laura Marling. Relationships are a common theme throughout her lyrics, along with spiritual struggle and identity discovery.
“Set Me Free” is part of Allison’s 3rd EP, “Love Set Me Free.” The song is about being unsettled in life and finding purpose in love. It’s the story of 2 people who don’t like life and just just living day to day- then find love for others and for themselves. Love ultimately sets us free and brings us happiness and contentment.
