Rapper Mac Warren III Talks About The Benefits of Being Versatile in Music

Compton-based producer Mac Warren III has a diverse set of skills that lends to his versatility and overall success in the music industry. Fluent in five different instruments, Mac’s foundation lives in the R&B and Hip Hop worlds. Most known for his production on Tyga’s “Molly”, the song peaked at #66 on Billboard’s Hot 100, setting a strong precedent for Mac’s future accomplishments. With dreams of working with artist Jazmine Sullivan, he enjoys working with artists who can provide a diverse vocal range as well as those who pursue music for their shared organic passion for it.

When growing up in Compton, Mac learned to play Gospel songs in church, which led him to a better understanding of the DNA of classic Motown hits which he would later incorporate into his own music. This combined with watching lowrider car clubs drive by blasting their soulful music through Compton, he felt inspired to craft songs tailor-made for a wide range of artists. His current recording studio called Patchbay Studios is located in North Hollywood’s Noho District area. The mission for the studio is to privately lease to labels and publishers alike. Currently in school, Mac hopes to eventually help the youth by teaching music business literacy, empowering aspiring artists just like himself.

Introducing a new artist through his label imprint “Warren” is a big goal for 2021. Currently, he works with an emerging artist named Tommy Tamagotchi (@tommy.tamagotchi) and he’s very excited for the world to hear what Tommy has been working on!
