Vershon shares new track ‘Stick By Me’

Following on from ‘Original’ and his collaboration with UK’s Chip on ‘Reality’, Vershon gives us ‘Stick By Me’, which marks the third single release in the run up to his ‘Only One’ EP.

Stick By Me was co-written by BRIT and Ivor Novello award winning artist and songwriter Plan B, in a studio session in Jamaica with producers The FaNaTiX (Giggs – Baby, Pa Salieu x Backroad Gee – My Family, Chip x Young Adz x Young MA – Lumidee),

Continuing the sensuous side of Vershon that we saw in 2017 with his global smash ‘Inna Real Life’. ‘Stick By Me’ highlights Vershon’s versatility as an artist, while maintaining the emotionally charged lyricism we are used to from him, coupled by his melismatic vocals.

The music video is a modern-day love story filmed in Fort Lauderdale, downtown Miami where Vershon now resides. It’s a flag in the sand moment for Vershon creatively as he shoots ‘Stick By Me’ in his new hometown, marking the beginning of a new journey in his life.

Speaking on ‘Stick By Me’ and working with The FaNaTiX and Plan B Vershon says “Stick By Me’, is my third release from my new EP and was created whilst working with producer artist team ‘The FaNaTiX’. The FaNaTiX were in Montego Bay running a writing camp and on one of these occasions, Plan B was there working with them, they introduced us and encourage him to get involved in our session. Plan B joined us at the table with a bunch of laptops, a microphone set up and a room full of vibes and energy. It was days later, when my managers and FaNaTiX sent me links to his music, that I learnt who he is, his musical achievements, his work in the Film Industry as an actor and Director, and his charity work with young people, Plan B/Ben is cool and humble.”

Vershon has a unique style and lyrical choice and his name has quickly become synonymous with that of infectious music, his forthcoming six track EP masterfully balances his credibility with an international pop sensibility and bridges the gap between London and Jamaica assisted by a carefully curated line-up of guest features.
